Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual who will provide Legal Operations Support in our Cleveland office, supporting our National practice group.

The ideal candidate will assist in managing a docket, provide status reports to clients, help to facilitate agreements and support some of our billing operations as well. This role will also support attorneys and analysts within the practice group. The Legal Operations Support role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in office software, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and proactively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a docket for our National Practice Consulting Group, including but not limited to: scheduling, calendaring, tracking deadlines, and preparing evidence submissions.
  • Work closely with the billing department to ensure case information is gathered and entered into database in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with clients and co-counsel delivering an exceptional level of service. 
  • Prepare regular status reports for clients.
  • Assist attorneys and other members of the practice support group, as needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficient computer skills and comfortable learning new software programs.  Intermediate level Word, Excel and Outlook skills. Experience using a database. 
  • Basic math skills and ability to convert percentages to decimals. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented approach to work. 
  • Ability to prioritize workload and deal with stress in a fast-paced work environment.  Effective under pressure and high-volume situations with multiple priorities and deadlines. 
  • Comfortable asking questions for clarification or when assistance is required in order to complete assignments and meet deadlines. 
  • High level of confidentiality. 
  • At least 2-3 years of administrative office experience required.
  • Real estate/appraisal knowledge or experience is considered a plus.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform light work, including occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment.
  • Work primarily in a typical office setting.
  • Please note this role is onsite Monday - Friday working 15-20 hours per week.
